Hello! My name is Angela and I’m a canine-obsessed forty-something living in Colorado with my husband and our twelve-year-old rescue pittie, Laila. I’m here to show you how feeding real food to your dog is optimal for their health and longevity.

Just like you, I used to feed our dogs from a bag. Honestly, we did everything our vet asked. We gave ALL the vaccines and meds they threw at us because they know best; right?

So why were our dogs dying so young?

When our two-year-old boxer, Hagler, was diagnosed with mast cell tumors I knew we were missing something. I started researching mast cell cancer in dogs and natural ways to fight the disease.

The Facebook Group ‘Holistic Care for Dogs with Mast Cell Cancer’ had a lot of beneficial information. I started adding specific foods and supplements to Hagler’s kibble and we were able to keep him in remission for five years.

Our vet was impressed with his health and suggested the rabies vaccine because he had not been vaccinated for over five years. Within two weeks Hagler was severely anemic and needed a blood transfusion to survive. Even after two blood transfusions and two months of hoping his body would heal, he just shut down.

That single dose of rabies vaccine is what ultimately ended his life at the age of seven.

After losing our boy so suddenly, I wanted to learn as much as much as I possibly could about raising our pets more naturally.

I enrolled in canine massage courses at The Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage. There I started to learn about feeding real food and the benefits of the holistic approach to pet care.

Django & Laila

Against my better judgment, we continued to feed kibble to our new additions, Laila and Django. Originally, it was the cost that deterred us from making the switch.

At a year and a half Django (boxer) started having seizures. They gradually became more and more frequent and we lost him shortly before his fourth birthday.

I can’t even tell you how angry I was. We just lost two dogs within five years. Both of which were way too young. I felt like I had failed them somehow.

After this devastating loss, I realized my passion is to help others avoid unnecessary heartache by sharing what helps our dogs THRIVE.

I used my anger and broken heart to move forward and learn even more about natural canine health and wellness. Down the rabbit-hole, I went!

First, I immersed myself in the how-to of raw feeding and gained my certification from Dogs Naturally. I learned most people are doing it all wrong.

We DITCHED THE KIBBLE and started feeding real food!

Laila’s diet consisted of raw meat and organs, raw meaty bones, and lightly cooked vegetables. I don’t know what took me so long to realize that a simple switch in her diet would forever change how we feed our dogs.

Now, her weight is effortlessly maintained. She is almost 12 years old and still runs and jumps without pain. Seeing her thrive into her senior years is worth every penny spent on her food and supplements.

Although feeding raw is perfectly natural for dogs, I quickly found that it doesn’t always work for the humans. So what about home-cooked food for our dogs?

I found a program designed by veterinarian, Dr. Ruth Roberts, to train coaches to provide knowledge and support to pet parents. It’s so important to care for the whole animal and get to the root cause of the issue, not just mask the symptoms with medications.

So as of December 2024, I can proudly say I am a Certified Holistic Pet Health Coach.

I will show you how real food and natural supplements will help your pet thrive! Making the switch to real food is simple with a little guidance. I will help you take the guesswork out of fresh feeding, provide recipes, and offer ongoing support for your pet’s health journey.

Let me help you make the switch today!
