I struggled for years trying to understand why my dogs suffered from illnesses like hypothyroid, mast cell tumors, and seizures. The vets always blamed the breed. They would say things like “Boxers are prone to many diseases” and “most pitbulls suffer from allergies”. Which is true when you look at the statistics.
But I refused to believe it was that simple. I knew there had to be a better way to care for our pets. We always hear how processed foods are causing obesity and disease in humans so why would it be any different with dogs?
The high-heat process that kibble goes through leaves it with very little nutritional value. Not to mention the preservatives, synthetic vitamins and minerals, food dyes, and poor ingredients used in commercial pet food.
Yet that’s what most people feed their pets. We’ve been scared into believing that all human food is detrimental to our pets health. How could real meat and fresh vegetables be bad?
It’s time to educate ourselves to make sure we have as many healthy years with our pets as possible. They aren’t with us for very long, and they deserve to thrive while they’re here.
When you switch to fresh food, you will see a change in your dog’s overall health. Healthy weight and body composition become the norm. As well as fresher breath, a healthy coat, and smaller poops.
Make the switch and watch your dog thrive well into their senior years!
